Sharon Housing Partnership Meeting May 11, 2010                  Approved September 14, 2010

In attendance:  Susan Saunders, Jane Desberg, Lou Modestino, Warren Kirshenbaum

 

Approval of March and April 2010 minutes postponed until the next meeting.

 

9 Glenview Update

The vote at town meeting to authorize the sale of the house passed.  The P&S has been signed and sent to DHCD.  After DHCD sends the Deed Rider a closing date can be set.  The buyers will have the opportunity to do a walk though prior to closing.

 

Wilber School Apartments

The affordable units have been rented.

 

Bella Estates

No news on converting the clubhouse into affordable housing. 

 

Sharon Commons

No news.  J. Desberg will follow up with Attorney Bob Shelmerdine.

 

Chapter 40B Status

M. Tobin is researching when the Chapter 40B moratorium for the town expires.

 

Open Meeting Law

Handouts regarding the new open meeting laws were distributed and the changes were discussed.   S. Saunders also reminded everyone that they have to take the State Ethics test on-line and send the certification to the town clerk’s office.

 

Old Business

The SHP pulled the warrant article requesting CPA funding from May town meeting.

 

New Business

The Sharon Housing Production Plan needs to be updated.   It has been 5 years since it was written.

The Sharon Housing Authority conducted its yearly monitoring of the Avalon Sharon affordable units.  All 39 are rented to eligible tenants.
